We had a wonderful stay at Caedmon House. The views were fine, giving us a beautiful backdrop of the river and Whitby town. The house itself was comfortable and had everything we needed. The interior design was amazing and we loved the attention to detail. The hotel was well-stocked with essentials like milk, tea, coffee, and even washing up liquid and cooking oil. It was a pleasant surprise to have these provided. The location was perfect for us, although it may be a bit challenging for those who struggle with stairs as there are 199 steps to climb up to the Abbey area.
There were a few minor issues. Some of the radiators needed bleeding as they were not working properly, resulting in uneven heat distribution.

The location was excellent, with fantastic views across the river and out to sea. Plus, the property was conveniently close to town, making it easy to explore the area. the beds were comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a long day of sightseeing.
The electrics needed attention, which was a bit concerning. Some of the sockets caused the electrics to trip, and it took a while for the issue to be resolved.

My recent stay at Host & Stay - Caedmon House was fantastic. The location of the hotel is fine, with amazing views of the river and the sea. The interior of the accommodation is amazing, with spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as a fully equipped kitchen. I was impressed by the attention to detail, as the hotel had everything I needed, from milk in the fridge to cooking oil and tea. The hotel was well-maintained and any issues were promptly resolved, such as a blown fuse that was quickly replaced.
While there were minor inconveniences, such as a puzzle on how to reach the hotel by car and a malfunctioning outside light by the front door, these did not significantly affect my overall experience. I was disappointed to find that the hotel did not have the board games, puzzles, and books that were advertised.

The only thing that could make the breakfast better would be to have a wider variety of food options available.

It also has a fully equipped kitchen, providing all the essentials like milk, tea, and coffee. the interior of the hotel is amazing, and they have thought of everything, with small details like a garden area with tables and chairs to relax.
The attitude of the hotel staff regarding a legitimate complaint about the main shower not working was appalling.
